We have been predicting this huge influx of fresh new talent would be a big boost to sumo's flagging popularity for a few years and this new era is

finally upon us. The Trans- Siberian era is upon us! The competition has been amped up! The atmosphere at the basho will be hot! I'm very excited about all of this, as long as I can still sneak into some empty masu-seki seats at the Haru Basho every March.
