debut. I couldn't let on I was injured. Lucky for me I got another debutant, he was younger and a lot less experienced. So I finished him off real quick. I've been booked to fight for them again, so I got away with it.

Mar 20th Hip still playing me up. Pain killers, ice, and the expense of the osteopath. I'm beginning to think that my age is well and truly catching up with me. I've been informed that the Dutch Sumo squad is coming to England to train soon and the BSF wants me to go up there and train with them. God I hope I'm alright.

Mar 25th Still not training. (some training diary!) I have never had an
injury for this long, it's driving me mad. At this moment in time, training against the Dutch looks doubtful, which may rule out the Europeans.

Mar 31st Three months from the start of this diary and I'm in a worse state of health than when I started. So today I start AGAIN. Lots of stretches, plenty of squats and some shiko.

April 1st Spent the whole day working today. Proper work at that - not sitting behind a desk like I normally do. I did some digging. Lifting lumps of metal and moving them about. Filling a 40 yard skip and sweeping.
April 2nd My back and thighs ache. But it's a tired ache not an injured ache. I'm going to take it easy today.

April 4th All going well, with any luck I can get down to proper training. I've got a pro-wrestling Easter tour this weekend, a good test for my old joints.

April 11th Just finished a run of 5 wrestling shows in 5 days. I'm shattered. Its not the shows themselves, it's the driving all over the place and setting up and taking down the ring. Good news, although they ache a lot - my knee and hip seem to be fine.
