become such a focal point for offers and requests from those interested
in the sport of sumo that rather than take an elitist attitude and
stick to just our own photographers, we are more than happy to work
with those willing to use their own time to take photos that they would
like to share with the sumo fan community.
Therefore, in this issue, we are pleased to bring you the photographic offerings of Mr. Peter Lang, formerly resident in Japan and now back in Taiwan. Peter was fortunate enough to attend both the Nagoya basho and the Taiwan jungyo and we know he's happy to see his snapshots here on SFM just as we are happy to emphasize the importance of the F (for fan) in SFM. Without the F(an)s out there, we wouldn't be here. Enjoy Peter's photos, and if you think you would like to do the same, please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org .. In the meantime if you've got any witty captions of your own for Peter's pix, please send them in to us at email@example.com and we'll try and feature the best our next time out.
This time, "fan photographer" Peter Lang brings us the Taiwan jungyo in a different "light". Photos edited by Barbara Ann Klein.
