Georgian Gagamaru is the heaviest sekitori, tipping the scales at around 200 kg. Czech Takanoyama
is the lightest at a mere 100 kg. They met in makuuchi for the first time at the recent Aki Basho,
where Gagamaru produced his best performance to date with a score of 11-4. An overmatched
Takanoyama, catapulted into makuuchi after only a single basho in juryo, struggled to a score of
5-10, but won admiration from the crowd and several top scores on the audience appreciation mark sheets.
Experts agree that Takanoyama needs to bulk up if he is to progress, but probably not as much as he does here.
