Yobidashi perform many tasks in Sumo, one duty being to call up the
rikishi involved in each bout. Yobidashi have a ranking structure
similar to that of the rikishi and gradually work their way up
the divisions during the course of their careers.
Shigetaro has reached makushita, whereas Hideo has made his way
right to the top of the tree to the rank of Tate Yobidashi, the only
rank entitled to call up the Yokozuna to compete in a bout.
