The highlight of the Kyushu Basho was the coming of age of Ama,
who was promoted to Ozeki as Harumafuji following the basho.
Sealing his promotion was his Day 12 victory over Yokozuna Hakuho,
who subsequently defeated Ama in a final day play-off for the yusho.
