that I can see his point of view but can't agree with it.  And this is what this debate comes down to.  Moti, I avoided the Hayateumi thing because it doesn't entertain me.  The Miyabiyama-Kotooshu thing bores me too.  This is the essence of my argument - I just don't believe henka provides the entertainment that I want in my sumo.  Moti of course will disagree and we will be at the impasse we were at when we started!  Sumo for me is as I have said, all about the tachiai.  It is all about the two rikishi coming together.  That is the essence of the contest.  Without the tachiai there is no contest and without a contest, why would I watch?  It is as simple as that.  Thanks for this debate Lon; I appreciate you having to deal with at least three different time zones!  See you in the Forum, Moti!

MD: It's a real pleasure to have a civilized discussion (for a change) on a heated topic like henka.  I enjoyed this immensely, and now it's up to

our readers to form an opinion (if they didn't have a concrete one before reading this) on henka.  I will continue to enjoy a good henka, and others will still turn away in disgust.  That's life.   Thank you.

LH: Once again gentlemen, thanks so much for interrupting your hectic schedules to lend your ideas and feelings to our efforts to widen the fans' appreciation of the spectacle we all love.  I hope they enjoyed it as much as I.
