Blonde and genial with an imposing 197cm / 164kg frame, Estonian Baruto made an impressive debut in makuuchi
division in May 2006. Tochiozan, with his dark brooding appearance and his forward-moving sumo, made a
similarly impressive makuuchi debut last March.
In the recent Haru Basho Tochiozan posted a score of 11-4 while Baruto achieved an excellent 12-3 and was one
of the rikishi to share the jun-yusho with Yokozuna Hakuho. Much is expected of both of them.
