Makushita with his fast but technical sumo. Mihogaseki-beya has even more of a solid footing in Makushita with his presence. College star Hakiai who started his career in ozumo with a 5-2 record at the Makushita tsukedashi rank at the Haru basho, continued his basic oshi-sumo and achieved another winning record of 4-3. Dairaido at Ms8, humiliated his more famous counterparts Shiraishi and Onishi with his bread and butter heavy oshi-sumo and also finished with a 4-3. He has been at high Makushita on many occasions, but has never managed to get to Juryo. From foreign shores, the only Czech rikishi in ozumo, the muscular but slender Takanoyama (22), continued his streak of good basho with a 4-3 record at his highest ever rank of Ms35.
