Tenryu and his group launched a sumo tournament in Osaka from February 1933 with Tenryu ranked as ozeki and Onosato as sekiwake. As they set their own rules, the official results have not been kept, however, the basho were held in the following months: February 1933; July 1933; January 1934; July 1934; January 1935; July 1935; January 1936; August 1936; January 1937; August 1937.
