Mongolian Hoshihikari was predicted by some people to be too light to be successful
in juryo division. With an attractive sumo full of agility, fighting spirit and a
quality of sticking to his opponent reminiscent of (and inspired by) his countryman
Ama, Hoshihikari has had winning records in all three tournaments he has spent in juryo.
Aminishiki, also considered too light when he first entered makuuchi division, has
surprised and delighted his fans by making a success of three consecutive tournaments in the
sanyaku ranks and will again be ranked at sekiwake for the upcoming January tournament.
