Mark preparing for his
heavyweight bout at the World Championships in Sakai last year

Jan 30th    Almost walking now - and without a limp, but still not training. Son's birthday today so we
all went out for a meal. Started to cheer up a little.

Feb 2nd    Had the day off work today to go for a job interview. No more limp, but knee aches all the time. Tried to do some training this afternoon but my knee stopped me soon after I started.

Feb 4th    Went to Dropkixx for some light training. Got asked to do a tryout match for LDN wrestling. (a Pro-Wrestling company with their own TV show) I'm not sure my knee will hold out but I can't afford to turn it down.

Feb 8th    After only doing light training all week I was off to Tottenham in London for my match. After winning the fight my limp was back, but the good news - apparently I impressed the LDN owner.

Feb 11th    Back at Dropkixx. I
found my corner again and did what I could which wasn't as much as I would have liked. In the afternoon I watched my son's football match;  even helped out by working as a linesman.

Feb 12th    Got up this morning and  can hardly move my knee. I think I've been overdoing things. I've got another Pro-Wrestling match on Thursday so I must rest my leg.

Feb 15th    Had a tag match tonight, which ended as a no contest when both teams lost the plot and tempers flared. My knee was sore but there was no limp.

Feb 18th    After a few days rest I've started training again. Although I'm having trouble with squats and shiko, I'm getting fed up waiting for my knee to get better - I can't wait forever.
